Horse Breaker

30 March 1916

States he broke his right leg, two days after attesting. The right leg shows much thickening of callus from an evident fracture. Some oedema - pitting on pressure + the skin adherent- with some bowing anteriorly at the junction of the middle & lower third of the right tibia. The callus is apparently still soft and he is quite unfit to go on parade.

Page Jones has a headstone erected by the CWGC in the old cemetery Knighton. The date of death on the stone was incorrect as of 10th December 2016. It shows a date of 23rd January 1917. The CWGC have been informed.

The above is from the CWGC, it is incorrect. Page died from Pneumonia. This is born out by his death certificate.
