Knighton Baptists, Sunday School Anniversary

The afternoon service was conducted by Mr W. Lewis, who, before commencing, proposed a vote of sympathy with the parents and other relatives of the late Pte. Harold Jones. The speaker stated that the young man had been killed at the front, at the early age of 18, and, though many of our townsmen had joined the forces, this was the first ( as far as he knew) who had been called upon to lay his life down for his country.
